The University of Legal Studies (UILS), Panjab University Chandigarh, has organised a three-day fest ‘Arguendo-2018’.
The theme for the fest is ‘Lex Semper Triumph’. Moreover, the event aims at refining the skills of budding lawyers and giving them a platform to exhibit their public speaking, linguistic and creative skills.
However, the fest began on Friday with the fourth UILS National Trial Advocacy Moot Court Competition. Therefore, during the competition, the participants argued on ‘Criminal Law, including Human Organ Transplant and Narcotic Laws’. As many as 22 teams from across the country registered for the competition.The alumni of UILS adjudged the preliminary rounds. Hence, the Alumni gave the teams valuable tips and feed backs they brought back their infield experience.
However, the communication between practising and budding lawyers was an interesting sight. Top eight teams will participate in the quarter-final and semi-final rounds of the fourth National Trial Advocacy Moot Court competition.
Hence, on the third day of the fest, the final rounds of the fourth UILS National Trial Advocacy Moot Court Competition will be held and adjudged by Senior Advocate KTS Tulsi and senior judges of the High Court.
