Amitabh Bachchan feels delighted and grateful for being honoured at IFFI

At the closing ceremony of International Film Festival of India (IFFI) Bollywood megastar Amitabh Bachchan was honored with the ‘Indian Film Personality of the Year Award’. The veteran actor defined the evening as one of the memorable ones.

The actor was honored for his contribution to the film industry for many outstanding performances. Senior Bachchan took to his blog to thank Smriti Irani, Union Information and Broadcasting Minister for presenting him the award at IFFI.

He wrote, “Thank you Smriti Ji Hon. Minister for Information & Broadcasting and the trouble you took in organizing a most memorable evening for me. one that I shall never forget.”

Furthermore, the 48th IFFI was nothing less than a dazzling celebration of cinema. While some renowned filmmakers showcased their films to an enthusiastic audience. Also, the festival witnessed the screening of as many as 200 films. Hence, the festival marked its opening with the screening of Majid Majidi’s first India-based movie ‘Beyond the Clouds’. Shahid Kapoor’s younger brother Ishaan Khatter and Malavika Mohanan play the lead roles in the film ‘Beyond the Clouds’.
